Aim: To replace an existing display on site with a modern interactive showing the areas of Biodiversity in Edinburgh
What we did: The whole unit was designed in 3d to fit within the existing frame , the challenge was to have 5 large rotating triangles within a very tight space , there are only a few millimetres of a gap between the tip of the triangles and the front cover. The design aesthetic was to have as a little a gap between the triangles so that the graphic of the map was seen as a complete image. Using various sensors , encoders and stepper motors we can turn each of the triangles precisely into place
