Aim: To design a remotely controllable Mars Rover that is programmed using a drag and drop interface , we also took on 2 other exhibits during the course of the project , an interactive rocket building game and an interactive display that conveys the principles of the Hertzsprung Russell graph.
What we did: The rover had to be based around easily sourced kits to allow schools and clubs the opportunity to build their own version. There were many challenges with this exhibit including some very complex electronics and software to allow the rover to navigate around it’s enclosed space. We also built the Mars landscape that the rover drives around on.
